Counting Down

There are only....55 DAYS left until the wedding. It's getting more and more exciting. Loea and I were talking last night about out "to do" list for the wedding. Somewhere I was reading that I should have sent out my invitations in February. Well, I hope to mail them out next weekend.

I'm glad just about everything for the bridal party is done. We had to order the sandals for both sides of the bridal party. Now, we just waiting anxiously to cross that off our list.

I'm just glad this week is Spring Break for Loea. We can try to get a few more things on that list done. We have to get our favors together, find out where to get our marriage license, and meet with our chaplain, reception venue coordinator, photographer, and videographer. Yay!!! Maybe I should have taken the week off.

SAVE THE DATE

The wedding is getting closer and closer. A little less than three months left. I'm getting more and more excited.

Yesterday we took our engagement pictures out in Makaha at the Kolona Ranch and Kula'ila'i. Although the sun was hiding and we were blessed with drizzles, everything turned out beautifully. We would love to thank the guys of Kai Media--Keone and Keli'i Grace--and of Kai Photo--Kyler and Grace Kwock. It was wonderful working with them. We let them take the reigns and the shots they shared with us were BEAUTIFUL!!! Mahalo!!!

Bridesmaid Dresses

The bridemaid dresses are ordered. Hmm... Should I buy one for myself?
Thank you to Joyce from the Bridal Boutique for helping me with my bridesmaid dresses. I actually really love these dresses, and the other one. Now, to look for sandals and accessories.

Favors

It's hard to believe, but the weddings right around the corner. Even it's only four months away, it doesn't seem like I have enough time to get everything. I'm starting to stress out and even had my first BRIDEZILLA moment. I tried my best to keep that from ever happening. However, I have been told that I am allowed to do it. I'm glad though that I didn't look like those crazy ladies on Bridezillas yelling, screaming, and crying. Instead, I just gave my mom the face.

Anyways, we've been thinking about our favors. We're in debate of what to get: chocolate chip cookies cooked by our niece, a candy bar, or candy apples. I found these candy apple pictures online and thought they were cute.

Now we just have to have find out how much it would cost to make the candy apples. Hmm....what to do, what to do??

Happy New Years!

2010 is here! This will be a very exciting, stressful, and expensive year. Our wedding is in four and a half months and we still have lots to do. We still need to book our musicians, decide on favors, dress fittings, finding sandals, and somewhere in it all...loosing weight!

On the downside, I will not be dancing in Merrie Monarch this year. I'm really sad about it, but I need to take a short break. With our upcoming wedding and my work schedule for March, I would struggle to keeps my eyes open and the pockets filled with some money. I know hula will always be there, but I love hula and it breaks my heart to miss my first Merrie Monarch in five years.

As for Loea, he'll be busy again with work and school. Loea's in his second semester for his Master's Degree in Educational Administration; he hopes to use his degree in the community college and assist more Hawaiians with their aspirations for higher education. He'll continue working full time as a Supplemental Instructor Coordinator at WCC. Loea really enjoys his job providing supplemental instruction for college students taking Hawaiian Studies 107.

We hope everyone has a wonderful 2010 that may be prosperous, eventful, and safe. Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!!!
